Submission guidelines
What to submit:
- Submissions can be in any genre: poetry, creative non-fiction, short story, travel, ficto-critical, screenplay, memoir...
- You may submit a maximum of three pieces (a suite of poems may count as one piece, but must be clearly marked as a suite)
- Each piece can be a maximum of 5000 words
- Submissions must be 1.5 or double spaced in 10 or 12 point
- Submit a cover sheet with each of your pieces
- MAKE SURE YOUR NAME DOES NOT APPEAR ON YOUR SUBMISSION(S)
How to submit
- Download the cover sheet
- Fill out a cover sheet for each of your pieces with your name, address, phone number, email and the title of your piece (if you cannot download a cover sheet, you may attach a separate piece of paper to each submission giving the details listed above)
- Make sure the title of each submission appears on the submission itself (but not your name!) and attach the cover sheet.
- Drop your submissions into the anthology box - the blue pigeon hole with the anthology sign on it, opposite the lifts on Level 2, Building 3 (Bon Marche), by Friday 16 November 2007
- HARDCOPY SUBMISSIONS ONLY!
When to submit
- Make your submissions in the third week of November (the week after Week 14)
- Final deadline is Friday 16 November 2007
- Entries will not be returned
What happens next?
- Pat yourself on the back for submitting your work!
- Editors will review submissions between late November and early January
- Shortlists will be decided in February, and letters sent to all authors
- Editors will work with shortlisted authors in February/March
- The Anthology will be launched at the Sydney Writers' Festival in May
