Call for Papers
N.B. The Call for Papers has been extended to 22 September
If you are carrying out research into any aspect of information studies, librarianship, information or knowledge management and would like to participate in the RAILS5 conference, you are invited to submit a paper or a short presentation proposal about your research. Research-active practitioners, research students, recipients of research awards, and research leaders can use this opportunity to showcase their work and gather input from others. Those new to research are particularly encouraged to submit abstracts and can expect a positive, collegial and supportive response from RAILS4 organisers and participants.
Papers
RAILS5 will offer the option of full peer-reviewed papers, to be published in a special issue of the Australian Library Journal. Papers must be submitted by 22 September, 2008. Papers should be of approximately 3-5,000 words and must conform to ALJ's stylistic and reference requirements (opens an external site). Paper presentations will be of 30 minutes duration.
Short Presentations
Participants may choose instead to give a short presentation about their research. Presentation proposals, including an abstract of no more than 350 words, must be submitted by 1 October, 2008, Short presentations will be of 10 minutes duration. Both full papers and presentation proposals should include:
- the names of all authors for the paper
- contact details for the primary presenter of the paper
The proposals should be submitted as an email attachment to Michael Olsson. The attachment should be in MS Word or RTF format.
